WEEK 81 Storytime!!! Great week!

Kam na bane ni flippin Maui!
Man what a great week! Elder Moore and I worked so hard to find more people to teach, and after fasting and praying for it, we found so many people! It's like this church is true or something.

So many things happened this week therefore, story time:

1) We have been working with an endowed couple who the husband was the first councilor,  who have  unfortunately fallen away and no longer wear garments, drink, smoke, and don't attend church. Fortunately, when we were talking to/secretly tracting  a drunk guy on the street with tabacco in his mouth (who is now one of our most progressing investigators) we found that he lives with these endowed members. We visited them a few times and no progression. No progression until we shared Alma 34:32-35 Which basically says the purpose of this life and to not procrastinate your day of repentance. That scripture basically slapped them into shape and really put the motivation in them. This last Sunday they came to church, began to wear garments again, aren't drinking, smoking, and are now on the right path talking with members and being involved. Also setting a great example for our investigator.

2) After one of our lessons we were getting off of the hut and we saw a crippled man in a wheel chair who just looked way sick. I went over to go talk to him and he just seemed miserable. I asked him if he wanted me to give him a blessing. And here when a white man with a clean shirt asks if he could give a blessing they think an angel just appeared. So he said squeezing out some words "Eang taiaoka" (yes plz). I set up a light above us so we could see and explained how blessings work. We gave the blessing and he already looked better. Then he told us that he's a member but hasn't come to church in a while. We talked with him about it.  Then just yesterday (Sunday) after we reminded our people to come to church, we started biking to church and see this man wheel chairing himself all the way to church 2ish miles. Bless this man.

3) At our recent converts house there was a baby that was very very sick. It looked as if the baby was going to pass away a few hours later. It was breathing fast, crying, and just looked in so much pain. This baby is like 1 year old. We blessed this baby. We came back 3 days later and this baby was smiling and healthy. Crazy because it truly looked as if the baby was going to pass away that day that we gave the blessing to.

4) At church yesterday after sacrament meeting we were talking to people and just hangin out for a sec. The Stake Pres and Bishop (who I'm both tight with) asked if I could help them give a blessing. I enter their office and see the mother and her "special needs" daughter in tears. A couple days ago I visited this mother and daughter and she said that the crippled daughter was sick, so I'm assuming it was for that. So they asked me to anoint. Then Stake President (who's also the principle at Moroni High School) gave a beautiful blessing. He had so much power in his voice, and the way he spoke, had 0 doubts that the blessing wouldn't work. He had so much faith that he knew that she would be healed. Anyways, he closed and than we left the office. This week I will go and visit them and see how her daughter is doing.

5) One night we were at this guys b day party. After we ate they asked me to get the cake. I grabbed the cake and walked it over to him. As I was carefully setting this delicious looking cake down into his hands, the plate/cardboard that was holding the cake bent and the cake flipped over and plopped right in the ground..oh man.. this man of large stature and everyone at the party laughed soooo hard. it was the funniest thing ever.

Anyways this week was great. We worked so hard and now the work is coming. A member thanked me for my work in this ward. My first Sunday I was here there was nobody at church. and this second Sunday (yesterday) the chapel was almost full! Bless up

What a great week!
