WEEK 9 baby blessing-drinking ants-dog fight

Image
Hey Hey! Another week went by. This week was nuts. I finally had my interview with President Larkin! He's a very smart Australian  that is strict and gets stuff done. He's a nice guy though. Anyways we have to email him every week and he responded to mine saying that I'm ahead of everyone else by being organized and using my planner, so in other words I'm on his good side which is awesome. A few super cool/exciting things happened this week: 1) I gave a blessing to this baby that was like super sick and had this terrible cough(I gave it in English) and then we visited them like a day later and the baby was basically all better. 2) We had a fire lesson and I bore my testimony in Kiribati and it made her cry because the spirit was so strong.. not because of my beka language speaking skills. 3) Everyday you like die of thirst and hunger. Yesterday/Sunday I was dying so we went to a members house(we call her mom) and asked for a drink. She got us a drink and on the

Mauri moa! What's up! I'm still alive out here. I got really really sick this week as all greenies do. I threw up a total of 11 times during one night, it was horrible. The next day I woke up with a lizard on my head which was cool.. but luckily I'm good now, I think. I just have major beka nako(runny poo). I guess I might have it for like the 1st month.. that's what the missionaries say. Last night we ate at a members house, then after we were walking home and I was about to poo my pants. Luckily, we made it back the house, then we realized the other missionaries had the key and didn't put it back in the spot.. so we were locked out until they came.. but during this horrible period of waiting I decided I couldn't hold it.. so I walked like 15 feet from my house to the beach and I took with me two big leaves which was a huge mistake..I get to the beach and do my business/bekanako. Then, I realized I definitely need more than two leaves..... then a crab pinche

Mauri moan!  yoo whats up? This is my first email from Kiribati! I'm on this dank computer so I can't really send my pics this week. But it's freakin awesome here! As soon as we got out of the plane the heat/humidity just slapped us all in the face. It's soooo hot and sticky here! But it's cool because luckily I'm a baller and can handle it.   I'm working on Tarawa which is the main island right now, Betio ("Beso" area, which is like the bottom area. Me and my trainer are white washing, meaning nobodys been there. There are like 10 branches.   It's literally crazy here. Everyone is like basically black. There are pigs, chickens, and naked kids running everywhere it's awesome. There is coconut trees and just like random weird looking fruits here and stuff. Yesterday I had my first coconut! It was sooo good because you get thirsty, hungry, sweaty, hot sweaty, and also really hot. The culture is very interesting. You just walk u
