Elder Carson Bowen Kiribati Islands in Marshall Majuro Mission

Hey hey what's up!!  This week was pretty legit. Lots of rejection but fortunately, we got 2 new investigators!! Tomorrow the other elders here on Abemama and us are doing a blitz in our area because we need some help tracking because that's basically all we do, so far to travel on our bikes!  So hopefully that will go well and we can get some more people so we don't have to tract all day every day and get rejected. Abemama south (my area) is like the butt of Abemama and people are pretty rude. One of our times tracting we sat on this lady's hut because she invites us on. I introduced myself because that's what you do in the culture. Telling them my dad's name is Jason my mom's name is Susie. There's 6 in my family. 2 girls and 4 boys. I'm 19. I'm from Nikunau-and they always laugh so hard.  Then I say just kidding! I'm from America. Then I tell them my talents. I usually switch it up every time but I like saying snowboarding. Sor

Hey hey what's up!!  We just got back from fishing!! It was a way fun day.... So last night we went to go find little red crabs on the beach next to our house. Then woke up this morning and came down here to central of the island.  We went to this members hut then rode our bikes to ocean side then walked out because it was way low tide. We caught a bunch of fish. Us 6 elders and the member caught 30 something fish!!! It was way awesome, then the waves start getting big because the tide was going up. It's all fun until you fall from a big wave on the coral hahaha.. Super fun tho.  Also when we were walking out to the ocean because low tide and basically just walking on coral and i saw this eel. And, it saw me and got scared and went under a rock. I grabbed the members knife because I didn't bring one and flipped a rock over and it went crazy. It started flipping charged me and then I jumped and landed on it. Then took a step back and it swam into this coral roc

Hey!!! So a big change.. I'm on Abemama right now!!! Transfers happened on Wednesday. I knew I was moving but I thought I was going to stay on Tarawa(main island).. but transfers were shown and they said I'm going back to an outer island!!  I was going to Abemama on Friday,  2 days notice! So I'm here now and flew in on Friday and was greeted on the landing strip by the elders on the island. There is 3 companionship's here: 6 elders- and they were super happy we came. Especially Elder Guiles who is from my intake. So right this second I'm sitting at a little open restaurant emailing on the computer next to the beach. It's crazy nice here. It's like paradise and they get so much cargo compared to Nikunau.  Nikunau they have only huts and  eat fish and rice, but here they actually have a lot of food and cargo and stuff.  It's less developed than the main island (Tarawa) but its soooo nice for an outer island. Also, this island is huge.  We bik
