WEEK 48 Transferred soon-SHARKS!-baptisms make me happy!

Image
Hey Family, I just found out that I'm getting transferred this coming transfer. Zone conference is this Wednesday and I'll find out where I'm going. I hope outer island on Kiritimati!! we will see though as anywhere is fine. Quick update: We had 3 more baptisms this week and are super happy for them. Last week when we were doing wash I turned my head a little and saw a bunch of sharks in the ocean(pretty close). There were like 5 or 6 and you could see their fins pop out and stuff. There are a lot of sharks here. You can also buy sharks here! An investigator gave us 2 big fish and I cooked them up last night and it was sooooo good! We ate cantaloupe(the first fruit I've ever eaten on the mission) at our investigator house.. I've never seen them anywhere in Kiribati. It was a miracle that I ate fruit! I went to a botaki-party- and ate some more pig mmmmmm so good! I'll let ya'll know where I get transferred to!! Elder Bowe

This week Elder Bowen briefly responded to a couple of family emails but must have run out of time to share an update.  We discovered he attended a recent Zone conference by viewing some pictures he appeared in which were posted on the missions FB site.  When these pictures are posted it is a wonderful gift...Thank you Sister Larkin!!!! Enjoy!                                                               Barefoot Bob!!!                                                           Fun games to entertain and unify Elders                                                              this came from a VIDEO on the FB site

WEEK 46 Big Party-Food!!!-love AC unit, so blessed!-baptisms

Image
This week was a good week! We worked way hard as usual. My comp is way cool too, Elder Payne.  Our house is the nicest in the mission having 2 AC units.  It's so nuce and cold!!!! We went to a few cultural parties and one of them was a huge one!! They had like 56 bowls of food so it was insane. They even killed like 3 pigs that we ate! That's insane!  We went to the party at like 8ish and then it was around 9  that we prepared to head out. (since we told them before the party that we had to leave early, we had their permission and it was ok to leave, otherwise it would have been insulting.)  We left before the party even started as we were told it started around 11 pm! and went to like 4 am, so it was a good thing we told them before the party we had to go or we would have been stuck.....all night long! haha I got another turtle shell! I have to put lacquer on it to make it all nice and shiny like my other one. #callmemasterYguei from kung fu panda!!! This

WEEK 45 Doing great! Hard work bring baptisms - HAMBURGERS!!!!

Hi Family, P day today is awesome! It's a combined p day so I'm excited to see Elder Jensen from my intake! He just got back from Christmas outer island. Also we went to the airport to say goodbye to Elder Dale who finished his time. That was kinda sad.   By the airport there is a place to get hamburgers!! The only place in Kiribati! so good!!!!!!! holy cow it almost tasted like America. Then after email we will go to Moroni High School and play sports because it's a combined  p day. Baptisms went awesome! Super busy because there is so many things to do to prepare especially here in Tarawa.  I learned on outer islands its way easier to prepare but whatever it takes I will do it!  So last week we got 4 baptisms and then my actual companion came. Then this last Saturday we had 3 more. Then next week none, then the week after like 5 baptisms.  I'm working hard everyday.  The Lords is building this area!  Church here is 3 hours just like at home.  The
