WEEK 11 Funeral dinner, double dragon, English fast, pig for dinner!

Kam na bene ni Mauri! whats up??

This week was pretty crazy! I'm still adjusting to everything here because it's a lot to get use to.. there is always so much going on at one time, it's awesome! Like chickens killing each other and flying by your face, dog fights and dogs following you, and much more. I going to make another list of stuff that went down or just like an update because it's easier, so here we go:

1) It is very very hot and humid here and the sun is way stronger. If your in a lesson on a hut and your sitting in the sun, your pants will freakin melt. The sun is way strong because we are on the equator.
2) idk if I've said this before or not but the men are ripped here because all they do is fish, climb trees, and build huts. The women here basically do nothing but sit around and eat rice and fish, so they are generally pretty thick. That's most of them.. some actually work and are awesome!
3) The culture here is much different that in America..so you have to always have an open mind, but sometimes it's hard..We went to a funeral and we walk in the house and the body is just chillin in the middle of the house in this net thingy. We sat on the floor as usual and then had a little program for the funeral. Then after the program, they bring out a bunch of food for us, and when someone gives you food, you have to eat.. sooo sitting literally 2 feet away from this dead guy, we ate!.. it was very weird.. Usually I'll eat at anytime without hesitation, but  this was just weird.
4) We got to watch General Conference which was pretty legit.
5) We went to a house were we had a scheduled lesson and we look in the house and see blood everywhere..stuff went down at the house/hut.. we don't know exact details of what happened, but we will find out.. hopefully!
6) We had a super good dinner and I ate a ton. We go home and go to sleep and then in the middle of the night I felt horrible so I ran to the bathroom and performed the beautiful art of  "double dragon".  After I felt a little better and then passed out near my bed and woke up perfectly fine which was ballin.
7) This week we are doing an English fast so I'm basically not gonna talk for a week!
8) Freakin awesome-this Thursday we have a scheduled dinner with our investigator named Karutu "karusu". And asked what meat we wanted. He said fish or pig, because they have a couple (everyone has pigs, they're everywhere) my trainer asked them if we could kill it. They said of course, so we get to kill a pig which will be awesome. I guess you stab it in the neck with a big knife. I'm pumped!

In conclusion, I'm doing super good! Learning how to be a savage! Language is hard but it's coming. Missions are definately a lot of work! But I'm learning alot and becoming a baller.

Talk to you next week.
