Mauri Mauri!! whats up?? This week was awesome because we got 13 new investigators, so now there is 35 in our teaching pool. That's a ton to keep track of, but it's good because I'm learning how to be super organized. I have learned everyones names. Some of the names are crazy long but it's cool because I got this. Anyways, I just found out that I am going to get transfered. idk where yet, but some of the elders think I'm going ibouk( to an outer island). Thats where the super crazy stuff happens. I'm pumped. Earlier today we went to go check out some of the huge cannons that are here. It was super cool. They are massive.
We were suppose to go and kill that pig for food I told you about last week, but when we got there it was already dead which kinda stinks. But there will be many more opportunities for me to feel like bear grills and kill animals to eat and survive.
This week I ate more turtle. Turtle tastes like chicken but a little bit more chewy.. pretty good. I'm trying to get a turtle shell because that would be legit.
There are a lot of drunk people here because you can make alcohol out of coconut juice stuff called karewe. It comes from like a branch. You just have to let it sit for a while. But the other night there was this drunk guy that we talked to and shook our hands and wouldn't let go. So we yanked our hands away from him and got outa there. It wasn't scary, it was just funny. Then we got back to the house and realize his blood was all over our hands..
In the lessons there is so much that happens. Chickens fighting, dogs doing stuff, pigs itching themselves, and much more, but I'm getting use to it. I'm also getting better at teaching which is good. My trainer is finally letting me teach a little..
The other day we ate like 6 times.. part of the culture is that if they give you food you have to eat.. so we ate a bunch and then had to go to another dinner.. in conclusion sometimes you have to be a man and shove it down there.
